Everyone loves the Smiley Face.
To get the badge you must be a club pogo member and you have hosted 10 games.Once you have hosted your first 10 games you will need to notify Pogo by going to the help bar on pogos page. Next hit contact us. You will then be asked to log in. Fill in the requested info.Now choose one of the games you host in.Go to platform pc pogo games,chose game,game features and information. Guilds, clans and leagues, tell them you are are a host for our league,give them our league address www.myleague.com/playground/ let them know you have hosted the 10 games, and you a requesting a Host Badge. If there is a problem they will email you back. Check your feedback in same place if you do not recieve your badge. Admins can not get the badge for you.
New Members
Please check for new members.You may check for new members by going to standings page off of our league page. Go to matched and news, then todays news. You can search the log by going back through previous days. If there is a new member please add them to your pogo list so that when you are in a room you can see them when you come in or they come in. Always welcome new members to the league. Make them feel comfortable and appreciated. Without our members we would not be here.
Setting Card Games
If you are going to set a card game for early evening there are a few things to remember. Will you have enough time to finish in time and get to the next game. If theres a game 45 minutes from the time you want a card game then you're gonna have to change the rules around abit. You might want to make the game SE with one lowering the total points to win. Say for example you want to play Spades. You can play to 100 in SE. Card games at times can take forever. Ive been in a game of Hearts playing to 50 -4 people at the table 2 rounds and it took us over an hr to finish the game. This doesnt happen often but please take it into consideration that it could happen. We do not wnat to cause delays in the next game. Once the League is big enough we can have multiple games going if need be. Be creative come up with a twist to get you and your jumpers onto the next game.
Setting Tours
There a few things to remember when setting tours. I hope this will help you setting your tours along the way. You will get more jumpers with a full Calendar. Please make sure your CHECK IN IS OPEN the night before.Set your games at least 45 mns apart from other games.Set 15 minutes early. If you want a 8:00 game set for 7:45. This will get your jumpers in the room on time. Wait no longer than 10 mns after start time to start your game. You risk losing players already there if you wait on another player. Waiting to long holds up the other games already set.If you are setting a card game please set it for last game of the night. Card games take longer and you need more time for these games.If your game is running late please send out a message so other players waiting on next game will know.Sunday nights are reserved for Battles 9:00 most nights BOL is set for 10:00. If you are setting an 8:00 game it must be over by 8:45 no card games are to be set on Sundays please.Please set ahead. If time slots are not covered then Admin will cover those slots. Once we have set we will not rearrange game times.Thank you and have fun in your Tours.
Sending out Tour Invites
From your TD page click on Main Tournament. A new window will open to registration page. Highlight the web address and copy. Then in yahoo go to actions,send instant message, go to your warriors list and highlight everyone on your list. Now click ok. put in all your info like Time to shake rattle and roll come on out to DCR and lets get to rolling next you would right click and go to paste. This will put that registration page into your group message for all your players to link to. You cannot hit enter while typing in your IM box. Now your players can click on link and they're in.
Encountering a problem in a Game Room
There may be a time when you run into a problem wether it be with someone in the room or another League. Please do not try to handle the situation on your own. If there is no Admin in the room please IM one of us and we will resolve the situation.If the problem is with another League then you can mute that League if Admin is not around. Give their host or admin our names and they can contact us. Our rooms are registered at all 4 registrys. Do not argue just finish playing and move on. Please remember you are there representing the League so be very careful. Things can get out of hands before you know it. Let Admin solve the problems.If the problem is with another player please ask your jumpers to put the person on mute.If you need to take your game to PC please do so or mute the people causing the disturbance.Good luck in your Tournaments.
Starting Tours on Time
Please try to start your scheduled games no more than 10 minutes after you scheduled for. If you are waiting on a player please tell ones in room why there is a delay. Please do not wait past 15 mns. While you are waiting on someone to arrive you may lose a player you already have. If you are out and you're going to be late then please try to contact someone from Admin so that they can cover your game until you arrive. We all have lives outside of the League and emergencies do come up but please try to contact someone. If you don't have our numbers please let us know. We will be glad to provide them to you.
Moving or Canceling Tours
Please do not cancel or move any tournaments unless you have spoken to Admin Staff. Cases does not like Leagues canceling tours. If you cannot host your game at time you have set then please reschedule it for a later date and time that is open. If you need to move the game and it is scheduled for same day then please post a message from your game page. This will let everyone who has registered for that game know that it has been moved to another time. Please also email or Im Admin staff so we know to fill in your spot. You must remove the players that are registered for this game as well. This will avoid players waiting in a room for you to show up.
Special Tours
Do you want to host a special game? Maybe you want to do Trivia. Please let us know. We are here to help you in any way that we can. For example Cher wants to do Trivia. She is going to host a trivia game every Wednesday at 9:00. If you keep it on the same day of the week every week your players will know and they will be there ready to jump for you. Keep track of points from week to week. At the end of the month we can gift away a free badge book for the player with the most points. You can also gift away bux for every correct answer. What ever way you want to do it is up to you as the Host. Lets say you want to host Birthday tours for month. Do it on 2nd Tuesday of month. Make it a find me tour. Your players find you for the first game and then birthday members pick next game and so on through the night. Lady wants to do mini night. Let your players know what day and again make it same every week and on and on. Your players will look forward to your games. If we can help you in any way please let us know.
